Barcelona's new away kit looks like something Roy of the Rovers would wear

And yes, we know it’s supposed to represent the Catalan flag.

BARCELONA LAUNCHED NEW jerseys for next season yesterday and the good news is they are nowhere near as ugly as their current efforts.

The famous thin stripes have returned to the home kit while they have replaced the away ‘solero’ inspired number with one based on the Catalan flag design (the Senyera).

However, here at TheScore.ie we can’t help but wonder if it’s actually a nod to Roy Race’s Melchester Rovers.

Race was, afterall, the best player the game has ever seen before a certain Lionel Messi came along.
